The BSME UAE Professional Development Group (PDG) was launched in September 2006 by a core group of schools based in the UAE. Currently 17 member schools strong the group sets out to:
Promote high quality professional development for staff employed by schools in the Group.
Organise and run CPD activities and workshops that are good value and relevant for member schools and their staff.
Encourage a spirit of cooperation and mutual support between member schools and their staff by sharing, where appropriate, expertise and experiences.
Provide opportunities for other BSME schools by both sharing activities with them and running a model of CPD that other schools or areas may wish to follow.

Any staff member from schools across the Middle East are welcome on courses, relevant to them, hosted by the PDG. For further details of programmes please visit the events page.
The PDG welcomes any school within the UAE that is currently a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) to join the group.
The BSME subject meetings are once again underway. The meetings offer an informal forum for teachers from within the BSME schools to meet and share ideas, resources and information surrounding their subject specialism, key stage or pastoral responsibility. These meetings are voluntary but recommended as an invaluable resource to teachers. This website hopes to offer a central information and contact point for all subject groups.
